What Tier 4: Stay at Home means for mhs homes

The Prime Minister announced on Saturday 19 December that Kent and Medway will move into Tier 4: Stay at Home as of Sunday 20 December.

We wanted to confirm that as a result of this announcement, we’re not making any changes to how our services are currently operating.

We’re constantly reviewing the government advice and if we need to make changes to our services, we’ll let you know. Our colleagues continue to work to COVID-secure guidance to keep you and them safe.

Guidance for the Christmas period

Unfortunately, for anyone living in a Tier 4 area, you’re no longer able to have a Christmas Bubble. If you live in a Tier 4 area, it means:

  • You can't leave or be outside of your home or garden unless you have a reasonable excuse
  • You can't meet other people indoors, including over the Christmas period, unless you live with them, or they are part of your support bubble
  • You can only meet one person from another household outdoors

These government rules will not be relaxed over Christmas.
