Kent-based housing association, mhs homes, has appointed two new Executive Directors.

Gemma Hancock will be the Executive Director (Assets & Development) after being with mhs homes  as the Assistant Director of Development & Sales. Gemma has over 17 years’ experience in the social housing sector with specific experience in managing a portfolio of mixed tenure housing and regeneration projects through various stages of feasibility, design, procurement and on-site delivery.

As the Executive Director (Assets and Development), Gemma is responsible for delivering the Asset Management Strategy and our ambitious Development Plan as well as championing best practice in building safety, quality design, environmental and community sustainability. Gemma’s appointment took effect in December 2022.

Upon her appointment, Gemma said:

“It is a privilege to be the Executive Director of Assets & Development, I look forward to using my experience to help deliver mhs homes group’s Strategic Plan whilst maximising opportunities to provide more quality, affordable and sustainable homes for our communities.

Amy Cheswick will be the Executive Director (Customer & Transformation) and brings over 25 years’ experience in housing management and customer services. Her most recent position was Director of Customers & Partners at Raven Housing Trust.

As the Executive Director ( Customer & Transformation), Amy is responsible for ensuring high quality, modern, responsive and customer focused services Her forward thinking and passion for innovation will help ensure that customer involvement, engagement and satisfaction is a central element of our service delivery model. Amy’s appointment took effect in January 2023.

Upon her appointment, Amy said:

“As Executive Director (Customer & Transformation), I’m looking forward to delivering excellent services for our customers as part of the mhs homes team.  I am excited to have this opportunity to deliver real social impact and transform the lives of our customers.”
