At mhs homes we go the extra mile to deliver social value in our contracts. For any contract over a set amount, we look beyond just the financial cost. We consider how the services we select and procure can enhance the economic, social, and environmental wellbeing of our community.
In the past year alone, we have organised some amazing things through our social value contracts, including:
- Refurbishing and decorating a local nursery
- Funding places for 1-2-1 tutoring
- Fitting a defibrillator at a local community hub
- Providing football supplies for a local team
- Organising coach trips to the seaside and Christmas Market
It's really important that we continue working towards enhancing the lives in our local community. Our Procurement team have looked at the local data provided by the council and identified key areas where we can aim our social value efforts.
