Hampshire Close, Chatham

This site was completed in Spring 2024 by Purdy Contractors.

The unveiling

mhs homes were joined by the MP for Chatham and Aylesford, Tristan Osborne, to officially open the new homes. Tristan Osborne MP performed the ribbon cutting and met with new residents. Also attending the ceremony were the Mayor of Medway Marian Nestorov, and mhs homes chair Nigel Hopkins.

Tristan Osborne MP said:“We know there’s an urgent need for more social homes in the local area, and I’m looking forward to working with mhs homes towards our shared goal. When people have the security and stability of a decent, safe and genuinely affordable home, they can get to know their neighbours, put down roots and be part of the community they’re living in.”

Ashley Hook, chief executive of mhs homes, added: “Social homes are good for individuals and good for communities, and we’re committed to increasing the supply of affordable homes for those who need them most. As one of north Kent’s largest social housing providers, we’re continuing to invest in the Medway area, building high-quality homes that give people the stability they need to thrive.”
