How to pay your rent and rent and charges
There's lots of way you can pay your rent and charges, we've listed some below. Direct Debit is the easiest way, but we offer other ways to pay too including My Account, standing order or by phone.
We usually charge your rent and charges either weekly on a Monday, or monthly on the first of every month.
If you want to view your charges, see your balance or statements you can do this in My Account.
You should pay your rent or charges in advance. This makes sure you have a little extra in your account so you're always ahead of yourself.
Pay by direct debit
Setting up a Direct Debit is the easiest way to pay your rent and charges. Over 75% of people pay their bills by Direct Debit, the benefits are:
- Payments are sent to us automatically so they're never forgotten.
- It saves you time. You don't need to remember to log on or phone us to pay.
- You can choose to pay weekly or monthly - whichever suits you.
- You're protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee.
- If your rent or charges increase you won't need to do anything. We'll send you a new Direct Debit schedule in the post.
Setting up your Direct Debit
Online
It's easy to do. Simply log in to My Account, choose 'My Direct Debit' in the menu and provide us with your bank details.
This online service isn't available if you're in arrears. If your account is in arrears, please give us a call to talk about your payment options.
Phone
Give us a call on 01634 565333 and we can set up your Direct Debit. You'll need your bank details handy when you call us.
Pay online in My Account
It's really easy. To get started, simply log in to My Account and choose 'make a payment'.
Standing order
You can set up a standing order through online banking, using your banking app, or by visiting your local branch.

Payment reference: Use your tenancy reference number as your payment reference. If you don't, we might not be able to match your payment to your rent account and you could receive messages from us about being in arrears.
Please note if your rent or charges increase you'll need to update the amount on your standing order.
By phone
Call 01634 354555 to use our secure payment phone line - it's open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
You'll need to quote your tenancy reference number.
Tenancy reference number
You can usually find this on letters and emails we've sent you:
- If you're an affordable and social rent customer you'll find this on your tenancy agreement.
- If you're a shared owner/leaseholder you'll find this on your welcome letter.
If you can't find it then drop our Customer Team a message on Facebook Messenger or Twitter and they'll help you out.
