At mhs homes we have various types of lifts including domestic and communal. We do everything we can to ensure they are safe and operating the way you need them to.

We know how essential a lift can be to your everyday life.

That's why we carry out regular inspections and servicing of our lifts to ensure they are working:

  • Efficiently
  • Safely
  • And to meet the needs of our customers

To ensure this, we will carry out monthly servicing to communal lifts and servicing every 6 months to domestic lifts. All our lifts will also have a Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER) inspection carried out every 6 months by our lift consultants, MAND PLS. MAND will contact you to arrange for this to be carried out if you have a domestic lift in your home.

Repairs to lifts

If a lift is out of service, please contact our contractors RJ Lifts on 08009 991177 or contact mhs homes to report this.

If you find yourself trapped in a broken down lift please don’t panic. Push the emergency button and this will link directly to RJ Lifts on 08009 991177 who will communicate with you through the intercom and instruct an engineer to attend.

Response times

  • Breakdowns: 4 hours
  • Trap in: 1 hour

Out of service lifts

Sometimes our contractors will need to take a lift out of service due to the severity of the breakdown. If this happens to your lift and you have vulnerabilities that require the use of a lift then please contact mhs homes on 01634 565333 and we will endeavour to assist you where possible or make reasonable adjustments until the lift is back in service.
